Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0

Version 2.0 of a Much-Loved Big Swimbait

The Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0 is the updated version of a popular big swimbait, brought back by high demand. At 25 cm and 125 g, this is no subtle finesse lure - it has a loyal following among anglers who target pike, large zander and wels catfish. Its exceptional fish-catching ability comes from the combination of a natural design and a highly convincing action that mimics the movement of a real fish. On a steady retrieve or when trolling, it repeatedly breaks to the side with a flanking roll - like an injured baitfish or one distracted by prey. Either way, it's hard for big predators to ignore. The Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0 works equally well cast or trolled, running to a maximum depth of 2.0 m when cast and 5.0 m when trolled.

Hard Body and Soft Tail Construction with a Softer Rubber Compound

The Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0 combines a tough, hard plastic head section with a segmented body and tail made from rubber. The rubber compound is softer than on the previous version, which allows for a slower retrieve. That said, anglers who prefer a faster pace will find it runs very stably at higher speeds too. The optimum retrieve speed is 2.3 to 5.0 km/h. One standout feature is the tail: it is replaceable and even compatible with tails from the original model. Thanks to the specific shape and construction, these tails fit the head section precisely. Daiwa recommends securing the tail additionally with Loctite 406 adhesive for a reliable long-term hold.

Ready-Rigged with Size 2/0 Treble Hooks

Fitted with a diving lip, the Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0 comes fully rigged straight out of the box with 2 strong size 2/0 treble hooks. The rear treble hook is attached directly to 60 lb steel wire rather than via a split ring - a deliberate choice to prevent the wire from slipping into the ring and risking a lost fish. Whether you want to cast or troll a big lure, the Daiwa Prorex Hybrid Swimbait 250 2.0 is a high-quality swimbait that delivers the goods.
