Gator Catfish

A Wels Catfish Imitation Built for Big Predators

The Gator Catfish is a wels catfish and burbot imitation available in several sizes and colours. Its action is hard for large predators to ignore - big zander, pike and wels catfish alike find it difficult to pass up. The extra-long curly tail is tipped with a small paddle tail that generates a lively, enticing action in the water. The bulk and rigidity of the rubber body keep the lure running true, while the tough rubber compound holds up to repeated attacks from hungry predators without falling apart. If you want a soft lure whose action works on even the most wary predators, the Gator Catfish is worth a serious look.

Cast It or Troll It

The Gator Catfish is firmly in the big bait category. All size variants work well when paired with a suitable rod and can be cast or trolled. A Shallow Rig has proven to be a reliable setup for this lure. If you want to fish deeper, the smaller variant can also be rigged on a jig head. As a trailer, the Gator Catfish pairs very well with large buck tails or similar lures.
