The Different Sizes

The Gunki Knifehead DR comes in 2 different sizes: the smaller 68SP and the slightly larger 75SP. Both are suspending models, hanging motionless in the water during pauses. The differences between them come down to size and running depth - visually, they are almost identical. The 68SP is a particularly strong choice in summer, when fry are still small and predators have locked on to them. It makes sense to locate those baitfish shoals and work the surrounding area. The 75SP is only 0.7 cm larger, but that is enough to make it a year-round hard lure that is a solid option at any time. It really comes into its own during the colder months, when predators are a little more lethargic, and it will tempt more than just perch and zander. With both sizes, never underestimate their pulling power for pike - always fish them with a fine wire trace or titanium leader, as pike are more than happy to grab smaller baitfish-imitating lures.
