Popper with a Fin

The Jackall Bleeker Toppy is a popper from the Jackall Design Serie, measuring 6.7 cm and weighing 9 g. Its body tapers in the front third and flares outward towards the rear, while a fin beneath the head adds two distinct functions: it generates extra turbulence on the retrieve and stabilises the action when you work it like a stickbait in a Walk-The-Dog motion.

Silent but Highly Visual

Two fixed weights inside the body make the Jackall Bleeker Toppy a casting machine that also sits perfectly balanced in the water. There are no loose rattling balls - this lure runs silent. That said, the concave cup at the head pushes water hard and produces a seductive plop sound, making it anything but subtle. It works across the surface with plenty of splash and triggers aggressive strikes.

Fresh Water and Salt Water

The Jackall Bleeker Toppy works equally well in both fresh and salt water. In fresh water it reliably provokes attacks from perch, asp, and pike, and in southern Europe from largemouth bass too. In salt water, sea bass are the primary target on home waters, but in warmer seas it also performs outstandingly on a range of marine predators including trevally, sea bream, and juvenile tarpon.
