Squarebill Crankbait with Sound
The Livingston Lures Howeller DMC SQ is a squarebill crankbait from the Tournament Series, measuring 6.3 cm and weighing 16.15 g. Its square bill is made from epoxy-bonded fibreglass - thin, yet extremely tough and impact-resistant. That construction brings the lure down to its running depth of 0.9 - 1.5 m quickly and lets it deflect off hard structure without damage, while also giving the hard lure its wild, erratic action. The standout feature, however, is the sound it produces.
EBS Technology for Special Sound
The Howeller DMC SQ is fitted with EBS Technology - the Special Sound system that Livingston Lures are known for. It activates on contact with water and generates an electronic sound signal that varies by colour pattern. Most patterns carry the EBS Shad Sound, while Guntersville Craw uses EBS Craw Sound and True Bream uses EBS Bream Sound. Predators pick up all of these signals effectively, and the detection range is twice that of conventional lures - meaning every cast covers more water and you locate active fish faster. To keep the EBS Technology battery running as long as possible, dry the lure thoroughly after use and store it dry.
Enhanced Visibility with Live Sonar
Beyond its acoustic attraction, the EBS Technology also delivers improved visibility on fish finders with live sonar technology, such as Live Scope. The materials used in the EBS Technology amplify the return signal, making the lure clearly more visible on screen. This allows for more precise, more effective lure presentation - ideal for techniques like sharpshooting, where you target located fish with accurate casts.
