A Gliding Swimbait for Pike
The Livingston Lures Viper 6" is a 2-piece swimbait measuring 14.91 cm and weighing 75.13 g, built with pike firmly in mind. Its broad silhouette gets the attention of pike extremely well, and the Slow Swimming Glide Action triggers takes with a seductive, gliding retrieve. The pronounced glide phases mean it sits just as comfortably in the glidebait category as it does among swimbaits - a result of Livingston Lures working alongside swimbait pioneer Byron Velvick and muskie specialist Steven Paul.
The Special Sound of EBS Technology
The Livingston Lures Viper 6" has strong visual appeal and a seductive action, but the standout extra is EBS Technology. The moment the lure touches water, it emits a special sound - and almost every colour pattern has been given its own, tailored EBS sound. The reason this matters is that predators respond intensely to sound. A lure equipped with EBS Technology attracts their attention at over 3 times the range of a silent lure, and even compared to lures fitted with conventional rattles, the range is still roughly double. Greater attraction range means more bites and the ability to cover water more efficiently.
Built for Live Sonar Too
Beyond the sound itself, EBS Technology brings an additional advantage on the water. The materials used in the system reflect the sonar signal of live-technology fish finders with particular strength, making the lure exceptionally easy to see on screen. That makes it ideal for fishing with greater control and precision, and it is especially well suited to techniques such as sharpshooting.
Additional Rattles
The Livingston Lures Viper 6" is also fitted with additional rattles. These come into their own particularly after extended use, when the EBS system battery eventually runs down. Getting to that point does take a long time in practice, since the system only operates when in contact with water and is correspondingly efficient on power - especially if you dry the lure and store it dry after each session.
