The LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk (Casting) rods are an extension of the The Rodfather series, built specifically for larger predators. If you're targeting zander, pike and wels catfish, these rods are right up your street. Sharp looks, strong performance and plenty of power come together in rods that make for a great day on the water. You can use them equally well for vertical jigging in open water, sharp shooting and conventional casting.
The LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk (Casting) rods are built around a 40T Toray Carbon blank with a carbon cross-wrap that runs the full length of the blank, giving it the extra power you need when playing big predators hard. To preserve optimal blank action, the rods use a split-grip design: the blank itself remains undivided all the way to the handle section, while the grip arrangement keeps overall transport length down.
The hardware on the LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk (Casting) is every bit as capable as the blank. The rings are Fuji Alconite K-Series in Frosted Dark Grey - great to look at, they support casting performance and are built to last. A Seaguide NHOOK hook keeper lets you secure your lure safely and conveniently. The full EVA rear handle is designed for outstanding grip comfort and a secure hold - big fish are powerful, and you need to be able to lock on and hold your ground. A Fuji reel seat rounds off the high-quality Fuji and Seaguide componentry, holding your baitcaster firmly and reliably in place.
The LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk (Casting) range comprises two models, both designed for large predators. Both rods are 2.00 m long and come in at a low weight. Here is a closer look at each:
RF-C68H
The LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk RF-C68H is the lighter of the two rods. A casting weight of 20-60 g still means there is plenty of power in the blank. This is the rod to reach for when you are working smaller swimbaits, medium jerkbaits and twitchbaits from around 13 cm upwards at big predators. For vertical jigging it handles lure lengths up to 21 cm and maximum head weights of 50 g.
RF-C68XH
The LMAB The Rodfather Shoot & Jerk RF-C68XH is the heavier of the two. With a casting weight of 30-80 g, it is suited to somewhat larger and heavier lures. For vertical jigging, lure lengths up to 21 cm with a maximum head weight of 75 g are right at home on this rod. When casting, medium swimbaits, larger jerkbaits and twitchbaits from around 15 cm are the ideal match.
