Sportex Nobun Baitcast

High-End Baitcasting Rods for Zander and Pike Anglers

The Sportex Nobun Baitcast are the baitcasting rods within this premium rod series. Built on superbly fast, high-strength Helicore blanks constructed from T1100 carbon and a specialist epoxy resin with nanotechnology, these rods are designed for demanding zander and pike anglers who want genuine high-end performance. The extra fast action gives you extremely precise lure control as well as the kind of sensitivity that lets you feel every contact - whether it's the bottom, a snag, or a bite - so you can strike instantly. The strong backbone ensures you drive the hook home even in the hard mouth of a zander. Outstanding casting performance puts your lures at long range with very high accuracy. The fight performance is equally impressive: smaller fish still put a smile on your face, while bigger specimens can be played and landed confidently and under full control.

High Carbon Content and Fuji Components for Top Performance

The Sportex Nobun Baitcast doesn't stop at an exceptionally high-quality blank. Every other component and design detail is built to the same standard. The guides are high-end Fuji Titanium SiC rings - extremely light, very strong, and perfectly suited for use with braid. The removable Fuji hook keeper gives you flexibility over its position, or you can remove it entirely if you prefer. The handle is a standout feature in itself: a carbon grip that transmits every last bit of information directly to your hand, giving you the perfect foundation for ultra-precise fishing. Matched to the handle is a carbon reel seat with a trigger grip that holds your baitcaster firmly in place. Particularly practical is the option to adjust the handle length, letting you tailor it to your own preference. A high-quality aluminium end cap with a serial number rounds off the build.

How to Fish It

The Sportex Nobun Baitcast range covers the common soft lure methods: jigging, keeping the rod still and hopping the soft lure along the bottom with a few turns of the reel handle then letting it fall back, and vertical jigging. You'll find individual models suited to each of these approaches within the range.
