Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Jerkbait 2nd Gen (Casting)

Specialist Rods for Jerking

The Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Jerkbait 2nd Gen (Casting) are second-generation baitcasting rods built specifically for fishing jerkbaits and other lures with a jerking and twitching action. They are equally well suited to swimbaits with strong gliding characteristics.

Fast Blanks for Precise Lure Control

The Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Jerkbait 2nd Gen (Casting) are built on Japanese Torayca 30T carbon blanks. These high-quality blanks deliver a fast action, a stiff, powerful backbone and are very well balanced - everything you need for effective jerking. The result is extremely precise lure control combined with excellent bite detection: the lure does exactly what you intend, and even the subtlest takes register clearly. The power in the blank also makes striking a reliable affair, which is what makes the Alpha SG4 Jerkbait 2nd Gen (Casting) outstanding pike rods for jerking.

Quality Components for Maximum Performance

A powerful blank is only part of the picture - high-quality components are just as important. The Savage Gear Alpha SG4 Jerkbait 2nd Gen (Casting) is fitted throughout with hardware from SeaGuide. The SeaGuide CCS stainless steel rings feature extremely hard SiN inserts and stand out for their high corrosion resistance and a tangle-free Tangle-Free Design that actively prevents line tangles on the cast. The abrasion-resistant inserts are optimised for braid and dissipate friction heat quickly during hard-fought fish. The ergonomically shaped SeaGuide Alien Lock Down reel seat keeps your baitcaster locked firmly in place and allows fatigue-free handling throughout a long session.
