Increased Sensitivity Thanks to the Carbon Monocoque Grip

Since the Expride series launched in 2017, it has won over countless anglers with its performance. Shimano has now revised and further refined the range. The defining feature of the 2022 Expride is the Carbon Monocoque grip. This lightweight carbon handle increases sensitivity and feedback considerably - the carbon blank flows directly into the monocoque grip, which acts as a resonance chamber. The result is up to 30% greater sensitivity: you feel every snag, every tap, every subtle take. By eliminating the additional material that would otherwise encase the blank, weight is kept to an absolute minimum. The outcome is incredibly light and exceptionally responsive baitcasting rods that give you complete control on the water.

Hi-Power X Technology for Greater Stiffness and Speed

The 2022 Expride retains Hi-Power X technology to further optimise the High Modulus Full Carbon blank. A spiral carbon-fibre wrap around the outside of the blank makes it stiffer and faster, while simultaneously reducing blank twist during the cast and the fight. The payoff is extremely accurate and long casts, plus better control when playing fish. The speed and stiffness of the blank also help you convert bites at distance and set the hook reliably in hard-mouthed predators such as zander. Developed for bass fishing, even models with a lower casting weight give you the confidence to handle hard-fighting fish. The Expride meets the very highest demands.

Expride 1610M... the balance with an Aldebaran MGL 51 in the finger swing below the reel holder was already extremely balanced... combine fishing (s) with strolling 230g plus “weight” multifile and bait... fatigue-free casting guaranteed for 12 hours. The workmanship of the Expride is absolutely within the limits of what you expect from this purchase... I come out as a Shimano cast freak anyway and therefore Daiwa & Co. is irrelevant to me... the Expride is certainly not the ultimatum in terms of workmanship, performance when presenting 5g+ bait (MGL 51 Aldebaran) at the lower level (+/- 5-10g) > that's where the bait finesse option comes into play... but anyone looking for an all-rounder for casting baits of 10-25g is blessed with this stick;)... the workmanship of this rod is á la like Shimano > a pound... clear purchase decision... The rod may seem very stiff at first, but you really notice any bait movement or structure in the water. You can clearly see fine bites or obstacles. Even small fish can be handled with lots of fun and the backbone offers enough leeway for one or the other PB. All in all, a very good rod for the price.

Expride 1610M handle shipping ~The rod was really well packaged and arrived without damage ~The delivery time was just 2 working days and was therefore lightning fast for me rod in general ~I fell in love with the rod straight away and had to try it out right away. Expride 163lbfs2 Already had the old one-piece BFS Expride, but the new one really managed to go a long way. You can feel the bites much more intensely and they fit even better in my hands. I'm in love with this rod. The same applies to the 2-piece ml. This new Expride series is simply amazing. And thanks to the team for the gifts in the package, I was very happy.

172MH2 split in two I already have the Shimano Expride bfs 3.5-10gr. That's why I chose a second one for the 172MH2 10-30 gr split second. The rods are very well made. You can feel every bite, no matter how fine. Let's see which Expride is next.
