Every braid should be as round and firm as possible - and that is precisely what Stroft has achieved with the Peak-UHMWPE construction of the GTP Typ R. Each strand is built from up to 2,400 individual fibres, woven together at very tight angles.

The Typ R forms the foundation on which the follow-up series - Typ E and Typ S - are built, all sharing the same high quality standards that Stroft demands throughout the range. The specialist braiding technique produces a nearly round line diameter with only minimal dimpels (small surface indentations), which even allows the line to be spliced. The Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) material gives the line outstanding abrasion resistance combined with high breaking strain.

UHMWPE - Low Stretch and Break-Resistant

UHMWPE lines are well known in the lure fishing world through brands such as Dyneema and Spectra. These fibres are exceptionally tough and show virtually no stretch, giving you maximum control over your lure and throughout the fight.

The GTP Type R is not my first Stroft braided line and once again I am absolutely convinced. The price may be high, but the string is really worth every penny. It runs very cleanly, looks extremely high-quality and fits perfectly with my Tatula 150 on the Alpha SG8 swimbait 2.29 m/36-130 g. Thanks also to Hecht und Persch for the excellent advice via e-mail. That is exactly how I imagine competent service.
