Every braid should be as round and compact as possible. That is exactly what Stroft achieved with the peak-UHMWPE construction of the GTP Typ R. Each strand is made up of up to 2,400 individual fibres, woven together at very tight angles.

The subsequent series - Typ E and Typ S - are built on the foundation of the Typ R, reflecting the high quality standards Stroft pursues across the range. The specialist braiding technique produces a nearly round line cross-section with only minimal dimpels (small indentations in the line surface), which even allows the line to be spliced. The Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) material gives these lines outstanding abrasion resistance combined with high breaking strain.
