Fox Rage Pro Grub Loaded

The Pro Grub with a Shallow Rig

The Fox Rage Pro Grub Loaded is a ready-to-fish soft plastic fitted with a shallow rig. It comes in 2 sizes, each with a matched treble hook and weight. The smaller 12 cm version is rigged with a size #6 treble and a 4 g weight, while the 16 cm version comes with a size #2 treble and a 6 g weight. This brings the total lure weights to 17 g and 35 g respectively, making them well suited to medium spinning rods and baitcasting rods.

Built for Shallow Water and Weed Edges

Thanks to their low weight and large curly tail, the Fox Rage Pro Grub Loaded sinks slowly, making it ideal for fishing shallow areas. It also works very well along and over weed edges and weed beds. The enticing curly tail action draws in primarily zander, and with the larger version, pike take it regularly too. The shallow rig is built from very robust components, including 50 lbs wire, so it can handle hard-fighting, heavyweight predators without issue.

Also Suitable for Deeper Water

If you want to fish deeper, the Fox Rage Pro Grub Loaded gives you two options. You can add a drop weight such as the Fox Rage Hitcher Tungsten Chin Weight, which helps the lure sink faster and stay at depth more easily. Alternatively - and particularly effective for sharpshooting with a live technique - you can leave the lure as it is and present it temptingly slowly to predators holding in open water. The 16 cm version is especially well suited to this approach. It takes a little more patience to get the lure down to depth, but the slow presentation brings real chances of catching more fish. Whichever approach you take, the Fox Rage Pro Grub Loaded is a highly compelling option for targeting big zander and pike.
