SPRO KGB Elite MG 300

A Powerful Baitcaster Built for Swimbaits

The SPRO KGB Elite MG 300 is a heavy-duty baitcaster developed in collaboration with Kevin Brightwell of KGB Baits - hence the 'KGB' in the name. Built in size 300, it has been designed specifically for swimbait fishing and pairs particularly well with the SPRO KGB Chad Shad 180. The oversized spool, robust internals and 13.6 kg drag give you everything you need to cast, work and fight fish on large swimbaits. Primary targets are pike and largemouth bass, but any predator willing to take a big swimbait is firmly in its sights.

Serious Power, Surprisingly Light in the Hand

The SPRO KGB Elite MG 300 features a lightweight yet extremely robust magnesium frame that keeps the overall weight down without sacrificing durability. That combination makes this premium baitcaster well suited to a full day of casting heavy swimbaits with minimal fatigue - and it still delivers the stopping power you need when a big pike decides to make a run. The oversized handle with well-shaped knobs provides serious cranking power and confident control throughout the fight, no matter how hard things get.

Two Gear Ratios, Instantly Told Apart

The SPRO KGB Elite MG 300 is available in 2 gear ratios: HG and XG. HG offers the slower 7.3:1 ratio, while XG runs at the faster 8.1:1, so you can match the retrieve speed to your style. To make it easy to tell them apart at a glance, the two versions are given a visual distinction: the knob end caps are red on the HG and orange on the XG. When you have both on the mat, one look is all it takes - no squinting at printed text to figure out which is which.
