Glide baits are hard lures that literally glide through the water on the retrieve, producing a pronounced side-to-side action. They have become particularly popular for pike fishing over the past few years.
Pure Realism - the Molix Glide Bait 178
Molix have created a serious tool with this lure, convincing on both a visual and a technical level. The extremely detailed design leaves nothing to chance: the entire body is covered in realistic scales, all fins are moulded from soft plastic rather than simply printed on, the eyes feature a glittering 3D design that looks genuinely lifelike, and the naturally sculpted head will fool even the most cautious predator. A specialist UV coating protects against paint chipping and keeps the colours looking fresh. One feature that many hard lures lack is the Glide Bait 178's bearing-mounted hook eyes, which reduce hook pulls and allow the lure to rotate freely during powerful runs in the fight. Ultra-sharp treble hooks on high-quality split rings complete the package. On the retrieve, this hard lure breaks out aggressively with even the lightest rod movements and can rotate up to 180 degrees - the serpentine, S-shaped action is guaranteed to trigger a reaction from any predator. Depending on the water and conditions, the floating version is the better choice for shallower presentations, while the slow-sinking version suits deeper work.
The Molix Glide Bait 178 at a Glance:
- Lure length: 178 mm
- Weight: 73 g (floating) / 75 g (slow sinking)
- Pronounced S-shaped swimming action
- Extremely realistic detailing throughout
- Bearing-mounted hook eyes
- Ultra-sharp treble hooks
- Available in various variants

Glide Bait 178 Slow Sinking / Bronze Flash
The Molix Glide Bait was used for the first time yesterday. A larger fish was robbing in the water lilies on the shore. 15 minutes of trying out with spinnerbait and rubber fish did nothing. Then mount the Glide Bait and on the 2nd throw, the impact came right in front of your feet! A nice 80s pike. You can present the bait so slowly that the pikes simply have no choice!

Glide Bait 178 Slow Sinking / Galaxy (H&B Edition)
A classic that is easy to carry. The run is already very realistic. Simply brilliant in combination with the H&B Edition “Galaxy”.

Great swimbait. Can be led extremely slowly and tempting. Brought an 80+ pike the first time you used it. Absolutely recommended

Glide Bait 178 Slow Sinking / Ghost Ayu
The Glide Bait impresses me with its great running behavior and has already produced bites. You can also throw it very far with a heavy baitcaster, which is also important when fishing in clear water.

Glide Bait 178 Slow Sinking / Silver Dark Back
For me, it's currently the best price-performance ratio. Kickstart his round S movement. Animated by the crank, it breaks out easily and can be fished super slowly. It's a dream.
