Musaga Jig Hook Stand Up 2/0 - 3 Pack

Musaga jig heads have earned a loyal following among predator anglers, and it's easy to see why. The hooks are produced in Japan by one of the country's best-known manufacturers, Sasame, and cast here in Europe to exacting standards.

Ultra-Sharp Stand-Up Jig Hooks by Musaga

Sasame's decades of experience in hook making have led to a specialist alloy that achieves something rarely seen: a hook that is both notably slim and extremely tough. The metal has a high degree of flexibility, which prevents the hook from bending open or snapping under pressure. That same alloy is also responsible for a point that stays sharp - even after many sessions and repeated catches, it still bites immediately.

Please note: Japanese hooks follow a different size scale to European hooks. Sasame hooks typically run slightly smaller than comparable European production. As a guide, a JDM size 4/0 corresponds roughly to a European size 3/0.

The Stand-Up Head Design

Musaga spent considerable time refining the shape of this jig head. The goal was a stand-up design that also delivers the distinctive swimming action of an Erie jig. The Musaga Stand Up brings both characteristics together in a single head.

A purpose-shaped plate keeps the jig resting lightly on the bottom with a subtle rocking motion, presenting your soft plastic perfectly. A few quick turns of the reel handle then send the head and lure surging steeply upwards - ideal for imitating a fleeing soft plastic crayfish, for example.
