Musaga Jig Hook Stand Up 4/0 - 3 Pack

The Musaga jig heads have earned a loyal following among anglers. Ultra-sharp JDM hooks from Sasame are cast here in Europe to the highest standards, resulting in first-class jig heads.

Ultra-Sharp Stand Up Jig Hooks by Musaga

The hook itself is manufactured in Japan by one of the most renowned makers, SASAME. Drawing on decades of experience, they developed a special alloy that allows for hooks that are relatively thin yet extremely robust. The metal is highly flexible, which prevents the hook from bending open or snapping. This same alloy is also the reason the hook point stays razor-sharp - gripping instantly even after many sessions and catches.

Important: As is typical for Japanese fishing hooks, the sizing scale differs from European standards. Sasame hooks generally run slightly smaller than their European counterparts. For example, a JDM hook in size 4/0 corresponds to a European hook in size 3/0.

The Distinctive Stand Up Design of the Lead Head

Musaga spent a long time refining the shape of this jig head. The goal was to create a stand-up head that also delivers the unique jigging action you'd expect from an Erie jig. The Musaga Stand Up combines the characteristics of both jig head styles in a single design.

Thanks to its sculpted plate, the jig sits on the bottom with a subtle rocking motion, presenting the soft plastic in an enticing position. A few quick turns of the handle then send it shooting steeply upwards - ideal for imitating, for example, a fleeing soft plastic crab.
