Musaga Jig Hook Stand Up 5/0 - 3 Pack

Musaga jig heads have built a strong following among anglers, and it's easy to see why. The JDM hooks are manufactured in Japan by one of the country's most respected hook makers, Sasame, and then cast into finished jig heads in Europe to exacting standards.

Ultra-Sharp Stand Up Jig Hooks by Musaga

Sasame has decades of experience in hook making, and over that time has developed a special alloy that allows for relatively thin yet extremely strong hooks. The metal has a high degree of flexibility, which prevents the hook from bending open or snapping under pressure. That same alloy also keeps the point sharp over the long term - even after many sessions and plenty of fish, it still drives home instantly.

Please note: Japanese hooks follow a different sizing scale. Sasame hooks typically run a size smaller than their European equivalents - for example, a JDM hook in size 4/0 corresponds to a European size 3/0.

The Stand Up Jig Head Design

Musaga spent considerable time developing the shape of this jig head. The aim was to combine stand-up properties with the distinctive running behaviour of an Erie jig, and the Musaga Stand Up achieves exactly that blend of both jig head types.

The flat plate worked into the head keeps the jig gently rocking upright on the bottom, presenting your soft plastic in a natural, head-up position. A few quick turns of the reel handle then send it shooting steeply upwards - an ideal action for imitating a fleeing soft lure crayfish, for instance.
