Rapala CrushCity The Curl

A Fluttering Action for Tough Days

The Rapala CrushCity The Curl is a soft plastic with a curly tail, available in several sizes and colours. This soft yet durable soft lure is part of the CrushCity range, designed by largemouth bass fishing professional Jakob Wheeler and a further development of the CrushCity Stingman. Like every lure in the series, the CrushCity The Curl was put through its paces in a purpose-built test pool and beyond. The responsive sickle tail delivers a fluttering action and works even at very slow retrieve speeds - making it a solid choice on tough days when fish are lethargic or particularly cautious.

Salt, Scent and Smart Injection

Rapala used their own Smart Injection Technology on the CrushCity The Curl to get the most out of its attraction and performance. A blend of salt and attractant is worked into the belly of the lure, creating a lasting scent trail and a stable running action. On top of that, the back of the lure is treated with additional attractant that clings well to the textured surface. The result: predators hold on to the lure just that bit longer, giving you time to set the hook cleanly.

Versatile Across Rigs and Species

The Rapala CrushCity The Curl covers a wide range of applications. The smallest size (7.5 cm) works very well for finesse techniques such as the drop shot rig or the Kickback rig, where it can be used to outwit big perch. The large size (12.5 cm) is a genuine option when you're targeting pike - though be aware that big zander also take this lure with confidence. The middle size (10 cm) is the all-round choice and, like all other sizes, can be fished classically on a jig head. The CrushCity The Curl also works extremely well as a trailer on a spinnerbait or chatterbait.
