Rapala Rap-V Pike Bladed Jig

Colour-Matched Components Throughout

The Rapala Rap-V Pike Bladed Jig is the larger pike-focused variant of the Rap-V Bladed Jig. At 10 cm in length and fitted with a size 6/0 VMC 7250 Black Nickel single hook, it is available in 3 different weights. This lure combines proven elements from across several lure categories into what amounts to a full sensory assault on pike and other predators. It all starts with a uniquely printed blade mounted on a lead-free head shaped in a rough fish profile and fitted with holographic 3D eyes. That highly weedless blade generates intense light reflections and vibrations that pike find hard to ignore. The lure's silicon skirt - welded directly to the head - adds another layer of attraction with its seductively pulsing action. Rapala have paid close attention to colour harmony across the whole lure: the skirt, the head and the printed blade are all matched to work together visually.

Fine-Tuning with a Trailer

The Rapala Rap-V Pike Bladed Jig catches straight out of the packet, but you can take it further by adding a soft lure as a trailer. That gives the lure more bulk, tweaks the action depending on what you choose, and lets you introduce additional colour accents - small differences that give it those extra few percent of fish-pulling power and tempt even hesitant fish into committing. That said, the Rapala Rap-V Pike Bladed Jig is a very straightforward lure to fish, versatile enough for a wide range of situations and water types. There is always a good reason to clip it to a wire trace.
