Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil SW

A Lure Built for Hard-Fighting Sea Bass

The Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil SW is designed specifically for sea bass and is available in a range of sizes. This Saltwater (SW) variant of the popular sea trout and sea bass lure comes fitted with an SGY 2X VAR treble hook, chosen to handle powerful, hard-running fish. The SW variant also includes a Wide Gap single hook, which fits in place of the treble and is kinder to smaller fish. A belly eye lets you add an extra treble hook when conditions call for it. The colour palette has been tailored specifically for sea bass, while the iconic design remains intact - based on a 3D scan of a real sandeel.

An Action That Draws Savage Strikes

The retrieve action of the Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil SW is deliberately subtle. With its head slightly raised, it tracks through the water in tight S-curves, convincingly imitating a sandeel. On the pause, it sinks with a slow, fluttering fall that provokes ferocious takes. A built-in rattle produces loud clicking sounds when you twitch the lure, drawing predators from a considerable distance. The long-cast design gets the Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil SW out where you need it, adding those extra metres to reach fish holding further out.
