The 4-Braid for Freshwater and Sea

The Kairiki braid from Shimano is a 4-carrier braid made in Japan using the modern VT Construction method. It's a robust and smooth line that lets you achieve extreme casting distances. I paired my new Shimano Expride Baitcaster 172H2 with a Daiwa Tatula SV TW 103. As a string, I bought the Shimano Kairiki in thickness 0.19. After a short test on the water, I can report that I am really impressed by this combination. The string rolls well when thrown, so that good casting distances are possible. I have not had any wig formation so far. This string makes a good first impression on me. I'm looking forward to being able to fish this line extensively this season and I'm excited to see how this line continues to perform.

Hi everyone, I have been fishing various lines in the Kairiki series for a long time, from light perch fishing to spin fishing for catfish and am very satisfied with them. I have a Kairiki 8 on all stationary rolls and Kairiki 4 on the baitcasters. I've never had problems with these laces, such as a broken mustache or anything like that. Best regards Sascha

Top price/performance ratio! I actually only bought the line because of the cheap price for my baitcaster. Normally I only use x8 braided ones, but with the price for 150m I couldn't say no. When I wound it up, I noticed that the knot strength was very good, the knot with the filling line was immediately tight and did not yield. I ordered the string in orange 0.10mm, the color stays intense for a relatively long time

Unfortunately I haven't been to the water yet. My impression is good because I want to throw big jerkbait with the baitcaster. Think with 4x braided line is better than I've always used 12 times or larger up to now. Also applies to 0.23 kariki. Let's have a look.

The line itself is great for pike fishing on a baitcaster reel. But only there. The line is not suitable for a stationary roll. Much too rough, much too loud - as I unfortunately found out. Fundamentally solid. Preferably 8x for stationary rolls!
