Strike Pro Guppie DS 9 cm / 35 g

A Work of Art

The Guppie DS (Downsizer) by Strike Pro is the smallest member of the Guppie family - and pretty much the first thing predator fishing experts will tell you about it. The story behind it is worth knowing: for a long time, these colours were only found on hand-painted wooden lures produced by Joe Peterson. Strike Pro partnered with Peterson to bring these unique creations to a wider audience.

A Compact, Hard-Wearing Jerkbait in Wood

The Guppie is a distinctive wooden jerkbait. Its large 3-D eyes give every hungry predator an additional focus point, while the high-backed body profile produces an exceptionally seductive action - so much so that even the most tentative rod strokes are enough to set it into that classic jerkbait movement. The compact shape ensures the hooks can get a solid purchase, and the treble hooks are ultra-sharp, hooking even the most half-hearted takes reliably. That translates directly into a higher hook-up rate and more fish landed at the end of the day. Thanks to the solid wooden body and its multi-layer epoxy coating, the finish stands up to hundreds of pike strikes without fading or cracking.

It's Not the Size That Counts - It's What You Do With It

To give you flexibility on the water, the Guppie comes supplied with two rubber tails - a curly tail and a paddle tail - which you can swap quickly and easily depending on the situation. That's what makes this lure such a highly effective hybrid: each tail gives the Guppie a different action, letting you adapt to whatever the predators want on the day. An innovative spring at the rear of the body holds the tail securely in place whilst still giving it plenty of freedom of movement.

With the Guppie range, Strike Pro and Joe Peterson have created lures that are as effective as they are eye-catching - the kind of bait that consistently puts big pike on the bank.
