Built for Modern Lure Fishing

The Super PE8 from Sunline is a high-performance braid manufactured directly in Japan. Developed specifically for the European market, it is precisely tuned to the conditions and species found here.

The tight 8-strand construction produces an exceptionally round, smooth profile that delivers above-average casting distance. It also ensures neat, even lay on the reel and gives the line outstanding abrasion resistance. To maximise low-friction running, the braid is finished with a specialist coating that virtually eliminates friction through the rod rings on both the cast and the retrieve - a further boost to casting distance.

The Super PE8 is suited to both fixed spool reels and baitcasters, as its stiffness is calibrated to work correctly with either reel type. As you would expect from Sunline, the stated breaking strains match real-world performance exactly - you can rely on the quoted figures without reservation.

Super PE 8 | Orange 6.0 kg / 12 lb / #1.2

I have been using the Super PE 8 in various line classes for many years and am absolutely satisfied with it. Of course, the color fades out over time, I only use the orange one, but that's completely okay. I had already used it as a quick substitute for sea trout fishing and there too she did her job very well and was able to handle saltwater fishing well.

Super PE 8 | Orange 3.0 kg / 6 lb / #0.6

Great line I use the 15lb on the Shimano SLX DC XT 71 baitcaster. I was a bit concerned at first because you often read that a 4-fold braid would be better for baitcasters. However, the concern was completely unfounded, it can be thrown clean and is super quiet!

Super PE 8 | Orange 5.0 kg / 10 lb / #1.0

Great string. I fish this line, in various thicknesses, on all my reels. Very smooth and quiet I'm very happy with it!!!
