Deps New Slide Swimmer 250 SS (Slow Sinking)

Swimbait with Kickback Action

The Deps New Slide Swimmer 250 SS is the slow-sinking, large-format version of the New Slide Swimmer 175. Like its smaller sibling, it is a two-piece swimbait without a diving bill - a design that also qualifies it as a glidebait. The body is built around an ABS plastic core wrapped in a silicone skin, and it is that silicone layer that drives the lure's signature Kickback Action. On the retrieve, the rear section kicks and repeatedly strikes the front body; the silicone skin dampens the resulting sound while the compression and rebound of the material actually accelerates the tail, producing an intensified tail action that a hard-bodied lure simply cannot replicate.

Knocking and Vibrating for More Bites

Inside the Deps New Slide Swimmer 250 SS sits the patented Spring Weight Micro Vibe System - a spring mounted in the head section with a weight attached. When the lure is being worked, that weight swings and produces a subtle, muffled knock each time it contacts the inner wall, softened further by the silicone skin. During the pause, with no rod or reel input, the weight continues to oscillate on its spring. Those faint residual vibrations are detectable to fish and act as an additional trigger to draw a take.

Bigbait for Big Fish

At 25 cm long and weighing 175 g, the Deps New Slide Swimmer 250 SS is built for heavy-duty baitcasters that can handle both the casting weight and the animation required to get the best from it. To match the lure's size, it comes fitted with 2 strong, robust treble hooks in size 1/0 - combining holding power, sharpness and durability to stand up to large pike and other big predators.
