The Gunki Drag Spin 130 S comes with 2 attachment eyes that produce slightly different running behaviour. The front eye at the nose is the right choice when you want to work the lure particularly shallow and slow - it then runs at around 10 cm depth, making it ideal for the shallowest of spots. The second eye sits on top of the head and takes the lure down to 60 cm. Whichever eye you use, the retrieve couldn't be simpler: just wind it in, vary the speed, or work it stop & go. That's all it takes to catch fish on this lure.

More Versatility with Add-On Weights

The Gunki Drag Spin 130 S was originally developed for shallow-water fishing. Depending on which attachment eye you use, it runs to a maximum depth of 0.6 m and sinks slowly nose-up. You can, however, combine it with add-on weights. One option is to attach the weight to the belly treble eye - the lure sinks noticeably faster and you can easily reach a running depth of 2 to 3 m. For an even quicker descent, clip the weight to the front eye. The lure then dives nose-first at a brisk pace, with the blade providing a little resistance on the way down. This makes it ideal for jigging through open water: let it dart upwards sharply, then allow it to sink back down - a combination that proves too much for any predator in the vicinity. Fished this way, you can also work depths of up to 10 m. The 2 attachment eyes and the option to add weights make this lure extremely versatile.
