Jackall Deracoup 10.5 g / 3/8 oz / Spin Tail Jig

Jackall Deracoup - A Classic Spin Tail Jig

The Deracoup is a compact spin tail jig (also known as a spinjig) that starts vibrating at the slightest pull. What sets it apart from other spin tail jigs is that it's not just the blade at the rear that works - the entire body is set into vibration, sending out strong pressure waves that predators pick up through their lateral line. On top of that, the lure flashes constantly, delivering a powerful visual stimulus as well.

A common issue with spin tail jigs is the hook catching in the eye of the spinner blade. Jackall solved this on the Deracoup by fitting a small swivel between the body and the blade. This prevents the lure from tumbling and stops the hook from fouling the blade. The components are also extremely robust, meaning the lure typically survives clumsy casts into bridges, walls and other obstacles without damage - a real bonus for street fishing.

At 2.6 cm in length and 10 g in weight, it casts and fishes comfortably on light tackle.

Target Species

The Deracoup is a versatile lure. It's particularly effective when targeting perch, allowing you to cover large areas of water quickly.

It also works well for asp, chub, ide and trout. When targeting asp, a fast, steady retrieve just below the surface is the way to go.

As the name suggests, the lure can also be jigged along the bottom or through mid-water. Even on the drop, the Deracoup keeps working enticingly and draws bites throughout the fall.

Tips & Tricks

The Deracoup might look unremarkable at first glance, but there's far more to it than meets the eye. Its range of applications and the ways you can fish it are remarkably broad.

Whether you're working a stream for trout, fishing a river for asp and chub, or targeting perch on a small woodland lake - this spin tail jig is a genuine all-rounder.

Work your way through different retrieve styles and find what the fish want on the day. A steady wind, jigging through different water layers, a continuous retrieve with short pauses - these small differences in presentation can make all the difference.
