Nories Tough Bug Big 80 / 17.4 g

The Tough Bug in Its Larger Form

The Nories Tough Bug Big 80 is an 8 cm popper that weighs roughly twice as much as its smaller sibling, the Tough Bug 65. Like that lure, it was developed for wary fish on heavily pressured waters and shares the same core qualities. It is silent - no rattle - and lands on the surface with a particularly soft touch after the cast. Combined with the long casting distances it achieves, this makes it a compelling option for asp, which often hold far out from the bank and are well known for being skittish. The subtle, highly natural splash sound works well on those silver torpedoes, but pike and perch are equally quick to respond. The Nories Tough Bug Big 80 is straightforward to work and can be fished on both a spinning rod and a baitcaster.

Exceptional Colour Finishes

Japanese hard lures have a strong reputation for their finish quality, and the exceptional colour finishes from Nories sit firmly at the top end of that tradition. The standouts are those carrying "Nama" in their name - these are based on the markings of a real, natural reference subject, typically small fish species from Japan, then refined with reflective foils, holo effects or glitter to create true visual works of art.
