Nories Hulachat S

The Chatterbait with Sound

The Nories Hulachat S is a chatterbait developed from the original Hulachat, with several distinctive features that make it a probably unique lure in its class - most notably its built-in sound, which is precisely what the 'S' in the name stands for. That sound comes from the clever relationship between the head, the blade, and the way they connect. The head features a recess, and rather than a fixed mount, the blade is attached via a Blade Hitter. As the extremely thin, high-frequency blade vibrates during the retrieve, those vibrations transfer directly to the Blade Hitter, which strikes against the jig head with a distinctive clicking, clattering sound. That extra trigger brings even the laziest predators to life and draws strikes in coloured water and the thickest underwater cover.

Head Design Details

The head geometry of the Nories Hulachat S allows it to glide cleanly through snags and obstacles such as deadwood and aquatic vegetation, letting you work it right where the bigger predators hold up. The head shape itself is worth noting too - it closely resembles a crankbait diving bill in its form and positioning, giving the lure excellent balance and a true horizontal swimming attitude throughout the retrieve.

A Fuller Skirt Through Clever Construction

Compared to its predecessor, the Nories Hulachat S comes with a larger hook, making it a particularly strong choice for bigger, more powerful predators and improving hook-up rates with them. A piece of hard mono fixed to the hook shank with thread acts as a baitholder, keeping creature baits and slimmer soft lures firmly in place on the retrieve. The skirt design deserves special mention: the inner strands are cut deliberately shorter so they splay outwards with more rigidity, pushing the longer outer strands away from the body and creating noticeably more visual bulk. The result is a lure that delivers not just more triggers, but stronger triggers - which makes the Nories Hulachat S a genuine fish-catcher among chatterbaits.
