A Highly Realistic Craw for Finesse Rigs and Skirted Jigs

The OSP DoLive Craw 3" is a 7.6 cm, 5 g craw imitation that wins you over with an exceptionally realistic appearance and a host of well-thought-out details. It carries a squid and shrimp attractant, which noticeably boosts effectiveness - particularly with finesse presentations. On top of that, it is heavily salted, which increases the sink rate and means you can fish it weightless on an offset hook - ideal whenever an ultra-subtle presentation is what the situation demands. It suits virtually all finesse rigs, including Carolina, Texas, and Jika rigs. Rigging it as a trailer on a skirted jig is another highly effective option. The OSP DoLive Craw 3" was developed for largemouth bass, but it also produces excellent results on perch and can be used for zander when they are keying in on crayfish.

Constant Action

During the development of the DoLive Craw, OSP studied and analysed how largemouth bass feed on craws. The findings were clear: action and movement - especially when it looks natural - leads to more bites. The moment a craw stops moving, many fish lose interest and catch rates drop. The OSP DoLive Craw was therefore designed to produce non-stop action. On the retrieve and during the fall, the claws flutter enticingly, and the lure generates a high level of movement throughout. Once it reaches the bottom, the claws and antennae settle more slowly, then deliver minimal but highly effective micro-movements in response to water currents and the lightest animation. Four body elements were at the centre of OSP's development work to give the DoLive Craw its enticing action:

• Swing Hands - The claws are kept very true to life and respond intensely to water currents and animation. The vigorous flutter on the retrieve is particularly striking.
• Hula Hige - The antennae are fine, highly sensitive tentacles that react to the slightest current and the most gentle twitch, vibrating immediately.
• Hitch Pitch Legs - The small legs along the sides of the body paddle busily as the lure moves through the water, just like a real crayfish.
• Functional Body Shape - The main body has been optimised to hold an offset hook securely, allowing the hook point to be tucked away cleanly yet set freely and instantly on the take. Small ridges along the back are there specifically to conceal the hook point.
