Designed as a Trailer Bait

The OSP Action Trailer 4" was originally designed as a trailer for the OSP Blade Jig, but has since proved itself as a trailer for all chatterbaits. It works equally well paired with skirted jigs and spinnerbaits, where its seductive action is just as effective. On a steady retrieve, it produces a wave-like motion that mimics the fin movement of small baitfish. Worked with an up-and-down jigging motion, however, it reveals its creature bait nature and moves like a shrimp. OSP calls this versatile behaviour Mix Action - a flat, widened body combined with antennae and arms. The body offers minimal water resistance while the appendages generate plenty of movement. It's an action that gets the maximum out of whichever bait the OSP Action Trailer 4" is rigged on as a trailer.

Hook-Friendly and Versatile

Trailers often stay permanently on the hook, which is why the rubber compound used in the OSP Action Trailer 4" is unsalted. This means it won't attack the hook metal or cause it to rust. This hook-friendly property, combined with its Mix Action, makes it a perfect trailer - but this soft plastic is even more versatile than that. It also works very well for finesse fishing on rigs such as the Carolina rig, Texas rig, and drop shot. As a shrimp imitation, the OSP Action Trailer 4" reliably tempts perch, zander, and largemouth bass.
