River2Sea Whopper Plopper 75 / Fat Body

River2Sea's Whopper Plopper caused quite a stir with some excellent surface catches, and the 75 mm Fat Body model extends that range with a compact, hard-hitting option.

The Whopper Plopper 75 up Close

At 7.5 cm, the Whopper Plopper 75 is noticeably shorter than its larger stablemates, yet it tips the scales at 16.5 g - thanks to the Fat Body System, which gives it that distinctively rounded belly profile. This design allows for longer casts and a more stable retrieve.

The Propeller Tail Is More Than Just a Visual Feature

Put the Whopper Plopper 75 next to the larger versions and the proportionally oversized propeller tail stands out immediately. It spins on the retrieve, generating strong surface disturbance and that characteristic 'plopping' sound. By concentrating the weight in the belly, River2Sea has kept the lure running with the same stable, rolling action as the other models in the range.

The Colour Patterns Deserve Their Own Mention

The Whopper Plopper 75 Yellow Head is the go-to choice when you want to create a strong light-dark contrast at the surface.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Pike is one of the natural-finish patterns and is sure to become a favourite in this colour, just as the range's other natural options have been.

The second natural pattern is the Whopper Plopper 75 Perch - a juvenile perch kicking up a commotion at the surface.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Bait Glow is the counterpart to the Yellow Head. It comes into its own in low-visibility conditions and coloured water, offering a highly visible target for zander, pike, and perch.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Fire Tiger is a genuine classic among lure colour patterns, and it naturally has its place in this River2Sea series as well.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Delta Craw is probably one of the more underrated surface colours. Red sends one of two signals to predators: (1) aggression, as in a territorial dispute, or (2) an injured fish making easy prey.

Whopper Plopper 75 Chrome Black is the silver bar of this surface lure range - it catches every ray of light and flashes beneath the surface like a mirror ball.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Blue Blood is a marine-inspired pattern that also performs well on inland waters, large lakes, and coastal lagoon-style venues.

The Whopper Plopper 75 Abalone Shad rounds off the baitfish-imitation line-up. This lively pattern draws attention with its distinctively bright yellow pectoral fins.
