River2Sea Whopper Plopper 60

An Exceptional Surface Lure

The River2Sea Whopper Plopper 60, designed by Larry Dahlberg, has - like its larger sibling the Whopper Plopper 130 - earned its place among the absolute favourites of American professional anglers. Here's what sets this standout surface lure apart:

• Hook: River2Sea (BN) X Strong Treble size 2/0
• Lures per pack: 1
• Type: Topwater
• Key feature: Innovative propeller tail generates low-frequency pressure waves

The Whopper Plopper's fish-catching ability has been proven in countless YouTube videos.

Surface fishing is one of the most exciting methods there is. With the Whopper Plopper, River2Sea came up with something genuinely new. It's no coincidence that the Whopper Plopper became the top-selling lure at Tacklewarehouse, one of the largest tackle shops in the US. American FLW professionals also reach for the Whopper Plopper on a regular basis.

Target species for the Whopper Plopper include:

• Pike
• Asp
• Perch
• Largemouth bass

What Makes the Whopper Plopper 60 Special

The low-frequency pressure waves produced by the propeller tail draw predators' attention from a considerable distance. This can be a real advantage on heavily fished waters, where this style of surface lure remains largely unfamiliar to the fish. The Whopper Plopper 90 features no rattle, yet still makes itself heard - the sounds it produces on the retrieve are natural, splashing noises. On many predators, rattles in similar surface lures are already well known and are often associated with negative experiences. The Whopper Plopper comes fitted with robust, extremely sharp treble hooks that are built to hold firm even under pressure from bigger fish. Their sharpness means they find purchase reliably on the strike, even at longer distances.
