Savage Gear Prop Walker 10 cm

A Topwater Hybrid for Big Predators

The Savage Gear Prop Walker is a hybrid of several topwater styles. Its elongated pencil bait body is paired with a subtle popper-style cup at the front, and by folding out the PVC propellers you can turn it into a prop bait as well - giving you a prop bait / pencil popper hybrid in a single lure. That versatility extends straight to how you fish it. With the propellers folded in, you can work it in a subtle walk-the-dog style, always accompanied by a gentle plopping action. When you want to trigger a reaction and really provoke the fish, fold the propellers out and let the commotion do the work - letting you cover large areas of water quickly in search of active predators. Originally developed for largemouth bass, it works just as well over here: pike, big perch and asp all hit it readily.

The Details That Separate Good from Very Good

There is a bit more going on inside this surface lure that lifts it from good to genuinely excellent. A large internal rattle chamber adds an extra dimension of attraction - the rattles come into their own particularly during the walk-the-dog retrieve, where they provoke predators into attacking. Inside, a casting weight transfer system delivers extra-long casts, which is a serious advantage when you are targeting asp over big, open water. To make sure every hit counts, the lure is fitted with strong 4X treble hooks.
