Westin DropBite Spin Tail Jig

Hard Core, Soft Shell

The Westin DropBite Spin Tail Jig is a spin tail jig available in 4 sizes, and its character comes directly from the materials used to build it. The core is lead-free zinc, giving the lure its weight and a stable, consistent action through the water. Around that core sits a jacket of phthalate-free, semi-soft rubber - this makes the body noticeably bulkier and more robust, which does two things: it slows the sink rate and pushes more water, producing a subtle wobbling action as it moves. Compared to the DropBite Tungsten Spin Tail Jig, you can work this one at a considerably slower pace. That makes it particularly well suited to shallower water, where it performs best at depths of 1-5 m. It really comes into its own in still or slow-moving water, where its action has the most room to shine.

Custom Colorado Blade and a Light-Transmitting Body

The Westin DropBite Spin Tail Jig carries a custom-matched Colorado blade connected to the zinc body via a ball-bearing swivel. Because the blade is anchored directly into the body, its vibrations transfer more intensely to the whole lure, which amplifies that seductive wobbling action and draws predators in from both close range and distance. The light-transmitting rubber takes the visual appeal a step further - it allows for three-dimensional colouring that gives the Westin DropBite Spin Tail Jig a more lifelike and detailed finish. Reliability at the hook is handled by an ultra-sharp, strong carbon steel treble hook that grips and holds throughout the fight. This is a highly effective lure for the usual suspects - perch and zander primarily, but pike, asp, largemouth bass and other predators will take it just as readily.
