The Silent Dog-X for Fast Retrieves

The Megabass Dog-X Diamante is part of the Dog-X series and comes from the STW programme - STW standing for "Support to Win", a collaboration between Megabass and American bass pros. At 12 cm and 21 g, it has the classic American topwater stickbait profile, and its aerodynamic design means it casts exceptionally far and true. It is built specifically for fast to very fast walk-the-dog retrieves, holding a remarkably stable tracking pattern while still breaking left and right in a sharp zigzag on demand. The sculpted gill slits serve a dual purpose: they help maintain that stable action, and at every twitch they kick a few droplets of water forward - a spot-on imitation of a small fish feeding frantically at the surface, snapping at insects. That combination of outstanding casting performance and consistent action at high retrieve speeds makes the Megabass Dog-X Diamante a very capable search bait. When you need to cover large expanses of water quickly and efficiently for surface-feeding predators, this lure does the job. It is particularly effective on pike, but large perch and asp fall for it just as readily. This version is silent - no rattles - which means it keeps catching even those fish that react to rattling lures with an immediate turn and a feeding shutdown.
