SpinMad Jigmaster 12 g

SpinMad's spin tail jigs have made a real name for themselves, and it's easy to see why. These metal lures have set a new standard in the spin tail jig category - and the Jigmaster is very much at the heart of that reputation.

The All-Rounder from SpinMad

At 12 g and just 4.5 cm in length, the Jigmaster is a compact lure that punches well above its size. That compactness translates directly into outstanding casting properties and exceptional distance. The moment the lure hits the water, the spinner blade gets to work on the drop - and that sinking phase is often when the first bites come.

Every Detail Counts

All SpinMad lures are built to a very high standard, and the Jigmaster is no exception. The result is a lure with real durability and robustness - one that, with a little practice, can even be worked effectively around rocky structure.

The large attachment eyes are a standout feature: even bigger swivels clip in without fuss, making lure changes quick and straightforward. Equally striking are the lure's prominent eyes, which give predators an outstanding aggression trigger they simply cannot ignore.

The blade shape sits somewhere between a Colorado and a willow leaf - a hybrid form that produces a distinct pressure wave that neither a standard Colorado spinner nor a willow leaf can replicate.

The hooks are needle-sharp and hold their edge well over many sessions. When the time does eventually come for a hook swap, the generously sized split ring will comfortably accept hooks larger than the supplied size 6.

How to Fish It

As a perch lure, the Jigmaster responds brilliantly to a sharp, erratic retrieve combined with light twitches, giving it the frantic action of a panicked baitfish looking for cover.

For asp, you can wind the Jigmaster fast just below the surface. Lift the rod tip slightly the moment it lands and start the retrieve straight away to keep it running high in the water column.

As a pike lure, the Jigmaster works almost like a soft lure - it handles a slow, steady wind just as well as an active presentation with twitches and speed changes.

Whatever the target species, always make the most of the sinking phase - the Jigmaster picks up a large number of bites on the drop.
