Medium Spin-Jig
At 14 g and 7 cm, this sits in the middle of the SpinMad range and covers a wide range of situations when you're after perch, zander and pike.
Effective Details and Quality Construction
SpinMad spin tail jigs are built to a high standard throughout. Their oversized eyes draw predators in for a closer look, and once a fish takes, the sharp double hook gives a reliable hold all the way to the net. Like every spin tail jig, the Colorado blade is the defining feature - SpinMad mounts it on a barrel swivel at the rear of the body. The blade throws off strong flashes of reflection that attract predators from distance, depending on how coloured the water is and the angle of the light. The vibrations the lure produces are just as important, stimulating the lateral line and pulling fish in from a wide area.
How to Fish It
A simple, steady retrieve will catch fish with any spin tail jig, but you can get more out of it by adding irregular pauses. When you stop the retrieve, the lure tumbles towards the bottom like a stunned fish - and that's when bites often come. You can also work these lures with a jigging action along the bottom, which mimics a fleeing prey fish for nearby predators.
The 14 g version is particularly well suited to targeting perch and zander, and the body shape supports a fast sink rate, which means you can fish it effectively in deeper water too.
