OSP DoLive Stick Fat 4.5"

OSP produces some of the most effective hard lures and soft plastics on the market, and the DoLive Stick Fat 4.5" sits firmly among their standout soft lures.

DoLive Stick Fat - Back Slide Skills in a Heavier Body

As the name suggests, the OSP DoLive Stick Fat 4.5" is the heavier sibling of the DoLive Stick 4.5". The two share a very similar design, but the Fat packs on considerably more mass - and weight. Where the standard version weighs 8.5 g, this one tips the scales at over 11 g, which means it casts far and accurately even without any added weight. That was precisely OSP's goal with this bait. The slimmer DoLive Stick is already a popular choice for the Back Slide Hook Setting - a method where the bait is rigged reversed on an offset hook or a specialist flipping/punching hook. This causes the bait to swim backwards, letting you work weed holes, gaps in the reeds, and all kinds of other cover and holding spots with real precision. With its greater inherent weight, the OSP DoLive Stick Fat can now be thrown not only far, but also with exceptional accuracy, which lets you exploit those back slide properties to the full and coax big fish out of their lies. Specifically for this rigging method, the OSP DoLive Stick Fat features a centre line marking on the head - a small line that shows exactly where the hook point needs to exit so the bait is perfectly balanced and can display its outstanding action.

Further Rigging Options

The OSP DoLive Stick Fat 4.5" is not limited to the back slide rig - rigged on a classic jig head, it produces an equally enticing action. Its fuller body reduces the rolling action somewhat, but the tail vibrates all the more seductively in return. You can also fish it weightless on an offset hook and even use it as a soft jerkbait. Like its smaller sibling, it darts wildly in all directions and gets predators firing. Because a thicker body can normally reduce hook-up rates with offset hooks, OSP have thought ahead and added a dorsal slot to the bait. This lets you fish weedless through obstacles and still convert bites cleanly. In general, this versatility makes the OSP DoLive Stick Fat a strong choice across a range of rigs - one that big perch and zander in particular tend to find hard to resist.
